Baltimore Clipper Tea is a blend of fine black and green teas in honor of the famous American Clipper ships which out-competed the British ships in carrying the season's new teas from China, thus earning a premium price for their cargo. The age of the "Clipper" lasted only 25 years, ending when the Suez Canal provided a shorter route for British ships via the Mediterranean Sea.
